The Mission Fair :)

Heyo guys,

I, Shazza, am back once again. Oh and before we get started, I just wanted to say that from now on, for every post that I do, I'm gonna add a cool quote for all of you to think about. So what I'm trying to say is that for every post, I'm gonna add in the Quote Of The Post. Don't ask me why I'm doing this. Actually, you can. The reason I'm doing this is pretty much to change things up a little and maybe you may even be able to relate to the quote/teen post.

So lets get started.

As many of you would know, last week on friday, we had the mission fair. YAY! Everyone loves a fair! So pretty much all the year 6, 7 and 8's had to organize a stall to run on the day of the mission fair. I was obviously in a group with my besties: Katherine, Caitlin, Claire, Millie, Grace, Shantel and Catherine M. Unfortunatley, two people from our group quit because they were confused so they started their own stall. I don't really blame them for leaving though. It was pretty confusing on who was doing what. But everything went well in the end.

One thing that went well at our stall was the Chocolate Coin Toss game that we organized. First you have to lay out the chocolate on the floor. Then the person who is playing the game has to stand at least a metre away from the chocolates and toss a coin. If the coin lands on a chocolate bar, the person wins it. If not then you don't win it. Easy as pie.

  • 50c for two tries.
  • $1 for four tries.
  • And finally $2 for eight tries.
Many people enjoyed this game so much that some of them came back, like, five times to try and win a chocolate bar. Thanks to this game, our stall raised heaps of money!

Since I'm not going to be here for the future mission fairs (sad face! I'm going to college next year) I've got some pro tips for the yr 7s:

  1. Be organized and explain to each person in your group about what they're doing.
  2. Make sure you get your posters done early so you can stick them up in a good spot (we never really got around to doing that......)
  3. Do some games! From what I've learnt, games are a great way to raise more money! For example, the Chocolate Coin Toss thing that we did.
So that's the end of my post....Oh wait I almost forgot!

QUESTION: If you could be any animal, what animal would you be????
ANSWER: Well I would LOVE to be a wolf because they are highly intelligent, strong, loyal and they work as a team!

And now for the moment you've been waiting for...... THE QUOTE OF THE POST!

QUOTE: Friends are like four-leaf clovers; hard to find but lucky to have.

The reason I choose this quote is because what it says is true. You know when you have a good friend when they listen to you, cares for you, talks to you, hangs out with you and most of all loves you for who you are. So don't just take a friend for granted. Show them the same respect they show you and always be nice. But everyone has a fight at least some time in their life with their friend. So make sure you apologize and make up for your mistakes because remember; friends are like four-leaf clovers; hard to find but lucky to have.

So that's the end of this week's post. Hope you guys learned something. CYA!
