Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuit Centre (a.k.a CAMP!)

Image result for keep calm and be awesome like meOmigosh, guess what???

Last week (Week 7), the Year 8s went to CAMP! YAY! Omigosh, it was so much fun! Okay, if I had to describe how I felt at camp in one word it would be..... AWESOME! So, let's get started......

What did I find most challenging?
Okay, I have to admit, I found the high ropes the most challenging. Let me get something straight; I am NOT scared of heights. It may seem like I do, but I'm not. It's just that.... when I get up on something high, I just suddenly go all ridged. I don't get scared when I get up there though its just that....I can't move. I know that's not the best explanation but.... yeah. So I ended up not being able to do the high ropes. And I was really upset afterwards.

What did I find easy?
Image result for keep calm and be awesome like meI found caving and tramping pretty easy. The flying-fox was pretty easy as well but....you know....heights. Tramping was one of my most favourite activities, even though it was just walking in a forest. We used a map and a compass which was pretty exciting. Caving would probably be my second most favourite activity. We learned heaps about caves, like the wetas that live inside them and how you have to be quiet otherwise the wetas will jump on your face (yup, true fact). We also saw some GLOW WORMS! Omg, they looked amazing and we saw heaps of them hanging from the roof of the cave.

Was it what I expected it to be?
Yes, most of it was. But I expected the cabins to be a little bigger but that was alright. I think our cabin was the best because it was nice and cosy! Also, I thought the high ropes were going to be like the low ropes, except a little higher. But when I actually saw it, I was like.......WHOA. I seriously did not want to go up there but I did. Well, sort of.

What was my proudest moment?
My proudest moment? Hmmm......I don't know. Probably when I got out of the forest after tramping and saw all my cuts and bruises and thinking I STILL SURVIVED! I don't know. Or probably when my group mates encouraged me when I was on the flying fox by yelling Severus Snape, which did help me a lot. And then thinking that Severus would have been proud of me if he was there. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD! I think. Or he would have sneered at me. *Sad face*

Now it's time for..... QUESTION TIME!
QUESTION: What was your proudest moment at camp/EOTC week?

LOL, I couldn't think of anything else. Okay so that's it for now. I feel like this blog post was really brief and boring. Sorry. Hope you enjoyed my post anyway! BYE!
