Have you ever wondered what the greatest and most amazing sport in the world is? The answer is.... QUIDDITCH! Sorry that would be the most greatest wizarding sport, but I think the best non-wizarding sport is.....BADMINTON! How? Because it is simply the most awesome sport you can play. Why? Because in my version of The History of Badminton, badminton was made for the sporty people to have fun. If you're not sporty don't worry, I'll put you through the H.B.M.S program (also known as the How to Be More Sporty program). Ok, I'm just joking. The H.B.M.S program was made just a few seconds ago.
FUN, FUN AND MORE FUN!
Badmintion is an extremely epic sport. It can help you increase your excercise and fitness and it's seriously much easier than squash and tennis (sorry squash and tennis fans!).
REFLEXES
When it comes to badminton, it's all about the super fast movements. Badminton is great for improving faster reflexes. At the start, you might not be very good....at hitting the shuttlecock and might not be fast enough. But once you get used to it and keep playing, you'll start to develop quicker reflexes and soon you'll become the ultimate badminton player.
FITNESS
If you like to sweat and play hard, this is the PERFECT game for you. You get the enough amount exercise you need. Did you know that by playing badmintion, you'll burn off the equal amount of fat in a choclate bar per 30 minutes or so. That doesn't nessecarily mean you can eat five chocolate bars and then play badminton for 2 hrs and a half. :-)
SWIFTNESS
After playing badminton for a while, you can learn how to get to one side of the court to the other in a flash. And maybe you might develop the agility of a cat. MEOW!
SKILLS
Another thing you can learn while playing badminton is hitting the shuttlecock at different speeds. Imagine becoming a professional badminton player. The skills you can learn are absolutely spectacular. Maybe after a bit of practice, you might be able to hit the shuttlecock to the other side of the net right before your competitor's eyes.
Well I hope I've convinced you why badminton is the best sport. If you're not sold to badminton yet, still try it. I RECOMMEND you to!
Awesome post Sharon!
