Speech

Speeches, speeches, speeches. The one thing that always makes me nervous. I've never been so nervous before, not even at the production. Oh and by the way....I did my speech. It was about identifying true friendship. And I think I did ok. In all my previous speeches, I always stuffed up something. Like last year's one. If I hadn't forgotten some of the speech, I would have probably a chance of getting in to the finals.

But I don't care about getting into the finals anymore. I just wanted to make sure I did my very best. One thing I really need to work on is slowing down. NORMALLY I do slow down while doing speeches (like last year) but this time, I thought I might go over the time limit. Why? Because before the speech, I timed my speech and it ended up 4 minutes 49 seconds long! That was just ridiculous. Probably because I messed up a lot. At the real thing, my speech was only 3 minutes and 18 seconds. I was SPEECHLESS at that. I could have slowed down if I knew it was going to be that short.

 Anyway my eye contact was pretty good and my hand gestures were ok. I would love to type up my whole speech now but I don't want you to fall asleep or fall off your chair from boredom. My friends said that I did really well in my speech but I'm more concerned about Mr Cunningham not liking my speech.

Anyway, I LOVED Jarden's speech alot because he put alot of humour into it and he spoke with such confidence that made me feel a bit ashamed of myself. The sonic screwdriver bit was the best out of his whole speech even though he stuffed it up a bit. In my opinion, that bit was the funniest rather than the worst. Oh and his speech was about Doctor Who.

I also liked Aisling and Ashling's speeches. Aisling's speech was about the dumest inventions ever made. She also spoke with great confidence and her voice was very loud and clear. Ashling also spoke confidently and loudly. Her speech was about cyber bullying.

So that's it for now. I've also got a question for you. What's your favourite song? I know it doesn't really tie in with this post but I don't want to ask any questions about speeches. I'm over and done with them. For now.
