The Mortal Instruments

Have you ever heard of the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare? The first time I ever heard of it was when my friend, Katherine, recommended it to me. And right now I'm in love with the books.

There are six books in the series.

1. City of Bones is the first book in the series and it was published in 2007.
2. The second book is called City of Ashes which was published in 2008.
3. The next book in the series is called the City of Glass, published in 2009.
4. City of Fallen Angels was published in 2011.
5. City of Lost Souls was published in 2012.
6. And finally the last book, City of Heavenly Fire, was published just recently on May 27 2014. 

At the moment, I am reading the first book. The book is really interesting, especially because it has werewolves, vampires, shadowhunters, demons and more. Wait. Was that a spoiler? I hope not. 

The characters mentioned in the book so far are Clary Fray (main), Jace Wayland (also main), Alec Lightwood, Isabelle Lightwood, Simon Lewis, Valentine Morgenstern (evil dude.),  Magnus Bane, Jocelyn Fray, Lucian Graymark and some others. 

Out of all these characters, I think my favourite would, so far, have to be Jace Wayland. I don't know why though. He is the kind of guy that is very arrogant and extremely confident about his looks and charms. He can also be quite teasingly and insultingly sarcastic. I do not know why I like him.

If I had to choose someone instead of Jace, I would choose Clary Fray. She is a girl who can be quite stubborn and Jace enjoys this but also finds it quite irritating. Clary can be a bit jealous about other girls who are beautiful because Clary does not believe that she is beautiful.
