More than 3000 years ago, there were no cars, no planes, no computers, no ipads or ipods. Ancient Egypt was an ancient civilization which started when Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt were united by their first pharaoh, King Narmer. The great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza are just a few of the most recognisable symbols of the civilization of Ancient Egypt.
Ok, now lets jump back into our time machines and go back to the present. VVVIZZZZUMMMM! Right. We're back. Now it's time to talk about what we've been doing in class about Ancient Egypt.
Well, our topic for this term (as you might know already but if you don't, keep reading) Ancient Egypt (your question's answered) had filled me with heaps of questions I've been wondering about. When we started I had millions of doubts in my head ( who killed Cleopatra, why was Tutankhamen so famous and who is Nefertiti. By the way, those were just some of my questions.). After all the research we did, I had my questions answered.
Cleopatra was not in fact murdered but she killed herself with a poisonous snake. Tutankhamen was famous because of the discovery of his tomb which contained more than 300 treasures. Nefertiti was the wife of pharaoh Akenaten and ruled over Ancient Egypt after her husband died. Very interesting, isn't it?
The activity I enjoyed the most was doing this long research about Ancient Egypt. You might think I'm crazy because I like doing lot's of research. I decided to do pharaohs and I learned much more things than I expected to.
Well that's all I've got today. Come back to read my next post!
